Business Class Services

Wireless Mesh or WiMAX (broadband wireless) offers a variety of services that will help local businesses realize increased profits while maintaining a strong presence within the Community.

Network Customer Premise Equipment (CPE)

Each place of business may require equipment to access the core network. This will ensure access for business owners as well as ubiquitous access for customers when entering or leaving your place of business. This equipment can stand alone or be used to replace existing wire line or wireless access within your place of business.

High Speed / Low Cost

Users of the network will realize the same, if not better, upload/download speeds at a comparable or lower cost of their existing wire line or wireless connection. Users will also have the ability to roam within the network coverage area using their same account. There will also be multiple service level packages available to choose from.

Location Based Services (LBS)

One of the advantages of broadband wireless is that we will be able to broadcast opt-in location based advertising to users of the network. So if a user is passing by or near your location they can opt in to view your splash page, coupons, specials, or current incentives. When in your store users may opt-in to receive in-store specials, discounts, etc.

/*Sidenote*/ "Opt-In" means the user can turn that service on or off.

Asset tracking is also available through the network that provides full reporting and tracking of equipment and the ability to generate and send reports from the field.

VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocal)

  • The ability to transmit more than one telephone call over the same broadband connection. This can make VoIP a simple way to add an extra telephone line to a home or office.
  • Conference calling, call forwarding, automatic redial, and caller ID; zero- or near-zero-cost features that traditional telecommunication companies (telcos) normally charge extra for.
  • Secure calls using standardized protocols (such as Secure Real-time Transport Protocol.) Most of the difficulties of creating a secure phone connection over traditional phone lines, like digitizing and digital transmission, are already in place with VoIP. It is only necessary to encrypt and authenticate the existing data stream.
  • Location independence. Only an Internet connection is needed to get a connection to a VoIP provider. For instance, call center agents using VoIP phones can work from anywhere with a sufficiently fast and stable Internet connection.
  • Integration with other services available over the Internet, including video conversation, message or data file exchange in parallel with the conversation, audio conferencing, managing address books, and passing information about whether others (e.g. friends or colleagues) are available to interested parties.
  • Advanced Telephony features such as call routing, screen pops, and IVR implementations are easier and cheaper to implement and integrate. The fact that the phone call is on the same data network as a users PC opens a new door to possibilities.

VPNs

Virtual private network; a business which allows VPN access to its server(s) is allowing users in various remote locations to gain access to corporate/business network thru secured access method.

For an organization looking to provide a secured network infrastructure for its client base, a VPN offers two main advantages over alternative technologies: cost savings, and network scalability. To the clients accessing these networks, VPNs also bring some benefits of ease of use.

Video Surveillance (Public Safety & Private)

Monitoring live video streams is possible with broadband wireless and allows access from around the city while recording high-quality images at centralized command and control to enhance awareness and collect critical evidence. Equally important is the ability to retransmit live and recorded images to first responders as they arrive on the scene.

The ability for response center operators to remotely monitor vehicle deployed video in real-time can further safe operating practices during routine traffic operations. And the archiving of digital video uploaded from vehicles between incidents is becoming a highly demanded tool for law enforcement to alleviate end-of-shift data bottlenecks at the precinct station.

There are also many private security applications for campuses, building sites, or industrial plants that have been uneconomical or unfeasible to deploy due to long cable runs or hostile environments. Broadband wireless can deliver digital video surveillance significantly less than of the cost of conventional alternatives and on an unprecedented scale.

These services can also be scaled down to provide cost effective security and video surveillance for homeowners and businesses.
